These benchmarking tools are based on 2009 data. The purpose of the dashboards is to provide a visual representation of how a physician and/or practice compares to peers. However, these dashboards do not provide rankings and should not be used for actual benchmarking purposes.
What are MGMA Practice Dashboards? The MGMA Practice Dashboards are free, fast and easy tools you can use to graphically compare your practice’s data to national norms. Enter one or more of your performance measures to see your numbers compared to similar practices and specialties. The results are displayed in simple red-yellow-green gauges.
How will the Dashboards help you? The first step in improving either physician or practice performance is to understand how that performance compares to similar practices and specialties. The Dashboards allow you to visually identify areas where your numbers are outside industry norms. Once potential problems have been identified, an action plan can be developed to address them.
